This is a small sample of images I made in New Orleans between December 2005 and May of 2007. The facts of hurricane Katrina and the response (or lack thereof) from the local, state and federal governments are well documented elsewhere. For me, New Orleans is a simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting place to be… the people are incredibly generous, and their will to push forward in the wake of this natural and man-made disaster is nothing short of inspiring.
